The subject is Shantih, from the Jinny series by Particia Leitch XD. This is from the first book in the series, when Shantih is running wild over scotland with a herd of wild ponies before Jinny gets her.
EDIT: Oh my holy gosh! This actually won XD And I feel I should have mentioned that the horse had no markings when I started it, or one white sock or something. Certainly not a white face and stockings XD
